This routine uses the 3x3 method of Japanese Walking, also known as Interval Walking, which is one of the most effective ways to get results fast (which I have been teaching for years). But with the added bonus of 3 minutes of standing cardio abs which helps melt off belly fat.

As your qualified trainer, Lucy Wyndham-Read, I’ve had millions of people worldwide follow my Walk at Home workouts. What makes this weight loss walk different is the use of intervals. By walking at a faster pace for a set time and then slowing down for recovery, you fire up your metabolism and turn this simple walk into a highly effective fat-burning walk.

This method is very similar to HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). With Japanese Walking, we use 3x3 ratios, such as 3 minutes of power walking followed by 3 minutes at a slower pace. This is when we then focus on your walking cardio abs to help reduce belly fat. Intervals can also be shorter, ranging from 30 seconds to 3 minutes, making it suitable for all fitness levels.

These bursts of effort increase calorie burn, improve cardiovascular health, and help with long-term weight management.
