Well, you know, I could also share with you that these three principles have helped me to lose over 60 pounds. They've helped us to not need prescriptions for the last dunno, I can't even count how many years it's been like 20 years.

But what I'm going to teach you is three principles that fit everyone. So here's what we have. We have three principles and these are originally coined by Dr Rex Russell. I want to share with you his testimony because it helps us put this into perspective as why these principles are so good. So Doctor Rex Russell was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at the age of 13 and that was a very horrific experience, I know for him and his parents.
What the Bible Says about the Healthy Living
And I have to say, as far as myself, I had to ask my same question. The same question to myself was like, have I really read God's word in regards to health and healing? Things like, well yeah, we've all read that glutton verse, but who pays attention to that one?
The Bible and Christian Health
So that's what we're talking about today. We're talking about the three principles that we can see throughout God's word, through his instructions that will help us have the health we want. If you want to lose weight, follow these three principles.

Three Biblical Nutrition Principles to Healthy Living
So I've got three principles for you today. Three keys. And the first one is, let's just start with what the Bible says to eat. So if scripture says you should eat this, then you should eat it. And if the scripture says you shouldn't eat this, then I would avoid it. Okay. If it's a food that God called food for you, not food for animals.

Principle number one is eat the foods God called food.
So if he called it food for you, then eat it and enjoy it. The second principle is eat the foods close to the way God designed it. So that's the one that gets a little bit tricky. So if you just find an apple and you eat it, that would be pretty close to the way he designed it. But if you've found some sticky, gooey apple fruit thing, fruit leather, no, that's not close to the way he designed it.
