The 4 BEST Diets for Putting Hashimoto's Into Remission

There's no question that the food you put into your mouth and body has the impact to either positively or negatively impact your thyroid and immune system.

Most thyroid patients know this. I don't need to convince you that eating broccoli instead of a 64-ounce full-sugar soda will have a positive impact on your body.

But let me be clear:

Even though diet is a powerful tool for treating Hashimoto's, it's definitely not the only thing you should do. It's actually rare that changing up diet is enough by itself to put Hashimoto's into remission. Even though that's the case, it's never a bad idea to optimize your diet and eat healthier.

And the 4 diets we are about to talk about are very effective for putting Hashimoto's into remission based on my own experience and patient anecdote.

Diet #1. The gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free diet. This is one of my favorites because it's relatively easy to follow and provides a huge benefit with even minor changes.

Diet #2. Whole30. Whole 30 is a great diet if you are just starting out but it can be overly restrictive for many thyroid patients.

Diet #3. Carnivore. Carnivore is emerging as a top contender, and it does work, but going low carb does have the potential to cause low T3 so be aware of that. Right now, I'm seeing that it's best used in temporary 2-3 month windows.

Diet #4. AIP Diet. AIP is another powerful but very restrictive diet. It works, but long-term compliance can be an issue. In addition, food tolerance and food sensitivity can occur if you stay on it for a long time.
